Terms of Service

Welcome to Movvin. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Movvin ("Movvin", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the Movvin mobile application and website at movvin.space.

By downloading the app, creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Movvin.

Movvin is a digital platform that connects property owners ("Landlords") and people seeking rental accommodation ("Tenants") across India. The Service allows users to:

• Discover and browse rental property listings near their location.
• List, manage, and update residential rental properties and units.
• Manage active tenancies including rent tracking and payment records.
• Rate and review landlords and tenants based on rental experiences.
• Communicate and coordinate directly within the app.

Movvin is an intermediary platform as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We do not own, manage, or control any property listed on the platform, and we are not a party to any tenancy agreement formed through the Service.

To use Movvin, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law.
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.
• Provide accurate and truthful registration information.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organization, you further represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You must create an account to access most features of Movvin. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep your account information updated.

• Account security — You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• One account — Each person may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is not permitted.
• Account integrity — You must not impersonate any other person or create an account in someone else's name without their explicit consent.
• Notification of breach — If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately at support@movvin.space.

If you list property on Movvin, you represent and agree that:

• You are the legal owner of the property, or are authorized by the owner to list and manage it.
• All information in your listing — including property description, photos, amenities, unit details, and rent — is accurate and not misleading.
• You will maintain your listing and keep it updated; outdated or inaccurate listings may be removed.
• You will not discriminate against Tenants on the basis of religion, caste, gender, disability, or any other ground prohibited under applicable Indian law.
• You are solely responsible for the terms of any tenancy agreement you enter into with a Tenant. Movvin does not draft, validate, or enforce tenancy agreements.
• Uploaded photos must depict the actual property and must not contain misleading, copyrighted, or inappropriate material.

If you use Movvin to find or manage rental accommodation, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate information about yourself when requested by a Landlord or required by the platform.
• You will treat the Landlord's property with care and respect the terms agreed upon.
• Rent and deposit payments are agreements between you and your Landlord. Movvin records payment information as a convenience but does not guarantee payment processing or mediate disputes about amounts owed.
• You are responsible for verifying that a listed property meets your requirements before entering any tenancy agreement. Movvin does not inspect or verify properties.

Movvin facilitates rent payment coordination through UPI-based payment links. When you initiate a payment through the app:

• You are redirected to your chosen UPI-enabled application to complete the transaction.
• Movvin does not process, hold, or transfer funds. We do not store your bank account details, card information, or UPI PIN.
• Movvin records payment confirmations as reported by your UPI app for record-keeping purposes only.
• Any disputes regarding payment amounts, failed transactions, or refunds must be resolved directly between the Landlord and Tenant, or with your bank/UPI service provider.

Movvin allows Landlords and Tenants to rate each other after a tenancy. When submitting a rating or review, you agree that:

• Your review is based on your genuine firsthand experience of the tenancy.
• You will not submit false, misleading, defamatory, or retaliatory reviews.
• You will not offer or accept incentives — money, discounts, or any other benefit — in exchange for a review.
• Movvin may remove reviews that violate these Terms or that appear to be inauthentic, without prior notice.

You agree not to use Movvin to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive listings or information.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users in any way.
• Collect or scrape personal data of other users without their consent.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Movvin app or its codebase.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Movvin's systems, servers, or data.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable Indian law, including the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act 2000, or the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
• Upload content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, or infringes the rights of any third party.
• Create fake accounts or manipulate ratings and reviews.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.

The Movvin name, logo, design, software, and content created by us are the intellectual property of Movvin and are protected under applicable Indian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

Your content — When you upload photos, text, or other content to Movvin, you retain ownership. However, you grant Movvin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You represent that any content you upload does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Movvin makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Movvin does not warrant that:

• Listings are accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
• Any property viewed on the platform is genuine, legally available to rent, or will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Movvin's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Movvin in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees), whichever is greater. Movvin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Movvin and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy or intellectual property rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@movvin.space or using the in-app deletion option.

Movvin reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, posed a risk to other users, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and governing law — shall continue to apply after termination.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.

We encourage you to contact us to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal proceedings. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and fairly through direct communication.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Movvin has appointed a Grievance Officer. If you have a complaint regarding the Service or content on the platform, you may contact our Grievance Officer:

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you within the app where appropriate. Your continued use of Movvin after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
